Innovating for Tomorrow is a dynamic campaign designed to inspire innovative business solutions in NYC. This competition brings together ambitious student teams to explore sustainable urban development through a series of engaging activities.

The Innovating for Tomorrow Program brings together aspiring student teams to explore commercial space sustainability in New York City. Through a series of interactive seminars, an on-site visit to Urban 21, and a team-based competition, participants will gain insights into business planning, market conditions, and sustainability challenges. Registered teams will have the opportunity to develop creative solutions and compete for cash prizes in front of industry-leading judges.

Mark Zurack

Senior Lecturer in Business at Columbia Business School

Mark Zurack teaches courses in Capital Markets and Investments, Equity Derivatives, and Equity Markets and Products. Before joining academia, he spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, where he co-managed equity derivatives in North America and Asia. He serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Binghamton University Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association.

Bruce Usher

Professor of Professional Practice at Columbia Business School

Bruce Usher co-directs the Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change. He teaches courses on climate change, finance, and business, and has authored books such as "Investing in the Era of Climate Change." An active investor and advisor, he focuses on entrepreneurial ventures addressing climate change and clean energy.
